We started GateZ with a single clear conviction: security guards should not be forced into paper registers, residents should not be interrupted by repeated intercom buzzes, and organizations deserve a tamper-evident record of every physical entry.
Why we built GateZ
Walk into nearly any commercial campus, industrial plant, or apartment society in India, and the gate experience is remarkably identical: a tattered register where visitors scribble random phone numbers, a security guard juggling multiple intercom calls, delivery riders stuck in the sun, and trucks idling while supervisors hunt down signed paper chits.
When an incident happens—theft, unauthorized access, or safety emergencies—the paper register is either missing pages, smeared with rain, or illegible. GateZ replaces all of this with one app that runs in any browser on any phone: the guard checks a visitor in, the host approves in one tap, and every decision is sealed in an append-only cryptographic ledger.
Our Operating Principles
We reject buzzwords. We speak in real numbers: "one tap", "9 languages", "10-minute links", "last 4 digits only". We solve real physical friction.
We never store full Aadhaar or government ID numbers. The gate records which ID type was presented and its last 4 characters. Phone numbers are encrypted at rest.
Residents and visitors should not have to download a 90MB app store binary just to let a plumber in or receive a courier. The mobile web experience is instant.
